The Town of Falmouth, through the Human Services Department, has re-posted a Request for Proposal for Fiscal Year 2021 that addresses the Outmigration of Working Age Adults from the Town of Falmouth.

The Town of Falmouth has identified that the outmigration of working age from Falmouth is an issue that has far reaching implications to the local economy and the quality of life for residents of all ages. Due to the significant impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the local economy and the viability and sustainability of young workers and families maintaining their residency in Falmouth, The Town of Falmouth seeks proposals that will address some of the root causes that lead to Outmigration: Including but not limited to the availability of and access to quality child care, availability and access to affordable housing options, and workforce development and economic opportunity.

The Town Manager’s proposed budget for FY2021 includes $20,000 to address the outmigration of working age adults from the Town of Falmouth and subject to Town Meeting appropriation, the Town will execute one contact with the Organization/Proposal selected to reduce the outmigration of working age adults.

The contact resulting from this Request for Proposals shall cover the fiscal year 2021 (September 1, 2020 – June 30, 2021) with the potential for renewal for up to 2 additional years if deliverables and benchmarks are achieved and funds are appropriated by town meeting in the next fiscal year’s operating budget.

Proposals are due on Friday, July 31st at 4:00pm in the Human Services Office, 65A Town Hall Square, Falmouth, MA 02540.
