The Healthy Caregiver
In Spaulding’s The Healthy Caregiver group, you will have the opportunity to:
- Learn principles of healthy caregiving and identify unhealthy coping patterns
- Hear how other caregivers approach their day and their responsibilities
- Experience and practice wellness techniques
- Develop tools to avoid burnout
- Enable positive self-care
- Find supportive resources in the community
This group is for persons caring for a family member or loved one with a disability, chronic health issue, or other condition requiring ongoing caregiving. Please note that respite care is not available on-site.
Facilitators: Mary Jo French, LCSW, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker serving patients and families at Spaulding Cape Cod and its five outpatient centers. Lynne Brennan, a retired school administrator, has been a caregiver for over five years.
