Make an informed choice: Learn about Question 1 and Question 2

On Tuesday, November 6th, Massachusetts voters will be asked to determine the outcome of three Ballot questions.  Com learn about Question 1 and Question 2.  Make an informed choice!

Sunday, October 28th from 2-4 pm, Falmouth Jewish Congregation (FJC) at Speen Hall, 7 Hatchville Road, East Falmouth presenters will discuss the questions.

Question 1: Initiative to establish patient assignment limits for registered nurses in hospitals (Massachusetts Nurses Association will present on “Why vote Yes”. and Coalition to Protect Patient Safety will present on “Why vote No”.)

Question 2: Initiative to establish an independent, non-partisan Cittizens Commission to pursue a Constitutional amendment regarding corporate personhood and political spending (Jane Scarborough, former Associate Dean of Northeastern University School of Law and retired Professor of Constitutional Law, will present the issues involved.)

Question 3: Concerns the repeal of the 2016 state law that bans discrimination against transgender people in public places. FJC has already addressed this question during our Aug 23rd forum.  A “Yes” vote will retain the current non-discriminatory law.

Light refreshments will be served following the presentation.  Please note: Parking is in the parking lot at 7 Hatchville Road.  There are 6 handicap-accessible spots at the Meeting House lot across the street.  All Falmouth Jewish Congregation venues are accessible.
