Biography

Partial Hospitalization Program is a short-term, structured, and highly supportive program developed to assist adults experiencing acute psychiatric symptopms.  Specifically, the program’s focus is to assist clients in either of two life circumstances:

  1. Discharge from a psychiatric inpatient hospitalization.
  2. Diversion from inpatient for a client who is experiencing psychiatric crisis.

Admission Criteria:

  • Client must be an adult (age 18 or older)
  • Client must have an established psychiatric diagnosis (DSM V)
  • Client may be safely treated in an outpatient, group oriented setting (e.g. not actively assaultive)
  • Client must be willing to attend and participate in the therapeutic milieu
  • Client is not a primary drug or alcohol abuser. Dual diagnosis clients are welcome.
  • The client must have a reasonably stable living environment
  • Client is not primarily brain injured or suffering from developmental delay.

Referral Process:

Referrals can be made by contacting the program at 508-564-9653.  A completed referral form signed by a physician is required.  In addition, a current medication list, crisis evaluation or comprehensive psychiatric evaluation or comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, and a current physical must be included.  All information can be faxed to: 508-564-9660
